State of Kansas Non-Ferrous Metals Recycling Regulations
Effective July 1, 2020, all businesses in Kansas that purchase recycled non-ferrous metals were required to register with the State of Kansas and begin implementation of new rules for purchasing these materials. Among these requirements, Howie's must gather the following information from each recycler. This information is then uploaded to a Kansas Bureau of Investigations database.
- Seller's full name
- A photo I.D. for each transaction over $5.00
- A photo of the license plate and vehicle of the person selling the materials
- Make, model, and color of vehicle
- Phone number
- Address if different than what's on the photo I.D.
Howie's Recycling abides by and follows all State of Kansas regulations for the documentation of recycling purchases and transactions.
